Job Title: Vice President - Independent Testing Function

Job Summary: The Vice President of the Independent Testing Function will be responsible for overseeing a team of 10 professionals in Bangalore. This role involves ensuring that our quarterly testing cycles stay on track investigating any observations that arise and contributing to the development of diagnostic and eligibility testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Transaction Reporting risk management regulatory control and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
>Oversee the independent testing team in Bangalore ensuring high performance and adherence to company standards.
>Manage and coordinate quarterly testing cycles ensuring timely and accurate completion.
>Investigate and address any observations or issues that arise during testing cycles.
>Develop and implement diagnostic and eligibility testing procedures.
>Be responsible for testing 11 transaction reporting regulations including EMEA (MiFID EMIR SFTR BOI) US (SEC CFTC CSA) and APAC (HKMA ASIC MAS JFSA) with plans to further expand into 5 more.
>Focus on automation of testing functions seeking candidates with experience in automating processes.
>Utilize data analytics tools such as Alteryx Power BI UI Path and proficiency in writing queries in SQL and Python is advantageous.
>Run and identify supervisory processes that should be put in place to monitor risks.
>Create and maintain training plans for the team.
>Provide status updates to senior stakeholders across global locations.
>Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive risk management and regulatory compliance.
>Provide leadership mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.
>Prepare and present reports on testing outcomes and observations to senior management.
>Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure the teams testing procedures remain current and effective. Qualifications:
>Bachelors degree in Business Finance Risk Management or a related field.
>Minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management regulatory control or a related field with at least 3 years in a managerial leadership role.
>Strong understanding of testing methodologies risk management principles and regulatory requirements.
>Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
>Strong leadership and team management abilities.
>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills:
>Experience with diagnostic and eligibility testing.
>Familiarity with the financial services industry and its regulatory environment.
>Proficiency in relevant software and tools with experience using Alteryx Power BI UI Path SQL and Python being advantageous.
