What you will be doing

• Independently managing an active caseload of asbestos matters
• Handling discovery from start to finish including written discovery and meet-and-confer efforts
• Drafting and arguing summary judgment motions
• Taking plaintiff depositions and preparing matters for trial
• Monitoring coordinated case orders and maintaining key deadlines
• Identifying cases that require elevated strategic focus and collaborating with partners on approach

What the firm is looking for

• A background in asbestos defense or closely related toxic tort work such as silica or other coordinated civil litigation
• Comfort navigating California coordinated case procedures and CMOs
• Experience managing complex discovery and multi-party matters
• Confidence handling depositions and motion practice
• Active California Bar admission
• Ability to attend occasional in-person check-ins if working hybrid or remote

Compensation and benefits

• Base salary range of $150000 to $175000
• Multi-layered bonus structure including production origination and discretionary bonuses
• Annual billable target of 1800 hours

Location flexibility
