Lead Data Engineer

ISS STOXX is actively hiring a Lead Data Engineer for Gurugram location.

Overview:

In this role you collaborate with Principal Engineers to interpret our data architecture and product needs requirements and enterprise policies and integrate your expertise to develop solutions that provide a step-change in business efficiency and open up new opportunities.

Youll be an internal and external advocate of our architecture and solutions demonstrating technical principles and business value; and constantly seeking feedback on ways to improve its fit. Youll lead a team of Data engineers as they deliver and support Data pipelines.

Youll be able to demonstrate comfort and success in a matrixed organisation where reporting lines do not dictate technical direction in a culture where the global Data Engineering function collaborate to achieve shared success. You will collaborate with cross-functional peers and stakeholders to share best practice and knowledge and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Youll be a humble expert willing and able to meet people at their level and both help them and learn from them. Youll lead by example using data and proof-of-concepts to bring people along and make them successful. Youll own deliverables as well as co-developing solutions with your peers and colleagues to help other develop.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Data team in Gurugram

• Oversee the design development and deployment of data pipelines

• Generously share your experience to help your peers develop and grow

• Interpret product needs requirements and enterprise policies into project requirements

• Help delivery teams implement your project requirements focusing on automation and maximising reuse quality and value

• Advocate for our architecture and solutions demonstrating technical principles and business value and constantly seek feedback

• Assist with recruiting activities

• Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies in cloud data management and operation to form and disseminate new insights.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of GCP products across database serverless containerization and API

• Experience of micro-batch and near real-time data pipelines

• Deep practical knowledge of using DBT to implement layered transformation flows

• Domain knowledge of financial market data and financial index data models and feeds

• Knowledge of AI machine learning and deep learning techniques.

• Expertise in PyTorch TensorFlow NLP Model deployment.
