We are looking for two (2) Contracts Support Officers who will play a key role in the delivery of the University of Edinburghs Research Contracts Service.

The Opportunity

Edinburgh Research Office has an exciting opportunity for a well organised professional approachable and self-motivated administrator who is looking for an open-ended full-time role. You will work closely with four other contract support officers who play an important role in our busy and forward-looking team of around 20 contract specialists to provide a high-quality research contracts service for the University.

The successful candidates will embody our values of expertise community integrity and collaboration. An ideal candidate will be enthusiastic have good communication skills and a strong command of the English language. You will be able to demonstrate a close attention to detail and be able to plan and prioritise your own work effectively using initiative and have a pro-active approach to seeking out information. An ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential and you will have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and good IT skills across a range of different types of systems/software (e.g. Microsoft Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint SharePoint and document management systems).

Directorate and Team

The Research Operations Directorate is responsible for delivery of a high quality integrated user-focused and resilient service which covers applications contracting and awards. We provide the research operations services that underpin the University Research and Innovation Strategy and associated growth plans.

The Research Contracts Teamis a team of solicitors and contract specialists who work closely with the University of Edinburgh research and professional services communities as well as with external stakeholders to provide expert legal advice in respect of a range of research related agreements and delivers a high-quality research contracts service to support the Universitys strategic research goals.
