Job Summary
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Extract transform and load (ETL) data from various sources including databases spreadsheets and external systems.
- Design implement and manage scalable ETL pipelines and data workflows.
- Build and maintain data warehouses and data marts to support business analytics.
- Ensure data accuracy integrity scalability and optimal performance across BI systems.
- Implement data access controls partitioning strategies and backup mechanisms.
- Automate recurring data processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues and load failures.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of BI processes for future reference.
- Collaborate with analytics product and engineering teams to deliver clean structured datasets.
- Integrate and support ERP systems such as Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) ensuring seamless data flow between enterprise applications and BI platforms.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors or masters degree in engineering Computer Science Management Information Systems (MIS) Mathematics Statistics or MCA.
- 36 years of experience in data engineering business intelligence or analytics roles.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in relational databases (e.g. SQL Server Oracle).
- Expertise in writing SQL queries stored procedures views and functions.
- Hands-on experience with BI and ETL tools such as:
- Microsoft Power BI
- Snowflake
- SSIS SSAS SSRS
- BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS)
- Tableau
- Solid understanding of data modeling data warehousing concepts and architecture.
- Experience with cloud data platforms and APIs.
- Strong scripting skills for data manipulation and automation.
- Knowledge of data security access control and governance best practices.
- Ability to maintain and scale BI infrastructure.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and data governance frameworks.
Working Conditions
- The work mode of Finisar India is Hybrid i.e. 3 days at office (Tuesday through Thursday)
- Should be flexible to support during different time zones
