Job Summary

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain ETL (Extract Transform Load) pipelines to process and integrate data from various sources into centralized databases or data warehouses.
Design manage and optimize relational (SQL Server MySQL PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB Cassandra) databases for efficient data storage and retrieval.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction transformation and reporting.
Build and maintain data models and schemas to support business requirements and analytics workflows.
Conduct data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy consistency and integrity across datasets.
Provide backend data support for dashboards reports and visualizations using tools like Tableau Power BI or Excel.
Collaborate with data engineering data science and business intelligence teams to support analytical workflows and solve data challenges.
Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with privacy regulations such as GDPR HIPAA or other industry standards.
Monitor and optimize database and system performance to ensure scalability and reliability for handling large datasets.
Support advanced analytics and machine learning workflows by providing clean structured and accurate data.
Document backend processes workflows and database configurations for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Maintain and update backend systems to align with evolving business and technical requirements.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in SQL including advanced query writing optimization and troubleshooting.
Experience with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server MySQL PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB).
Strong knowledge of ETL tools (e.g. Apache Airflow Talend Informatica SSIS).
Programming experience in Python R or other scripting languages for data processing and automation.
Familiarity with data integration data modeling and data architecture principles.
Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud) is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present insights to stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Data Science Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
3 years of experience in a backend data analysis or data engineering role.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git GitHub Bitbucket) for managing code.
Experience working in the healthcare medical device or regulated industries is a plus.
Knowledge of API integrations and REST/SOAP services for data exchange.
