Responsibilities of the Technical Designer

Collaborate with the Technical Design Manager and internal teams to develop design solutions throughout the construction phase.

Fit Consistency Mastery: Lead efforts to establish and maintain consistent fit standards for the brand ensuring all products align with brand vision and customer expectations.

Specs and Grading Expertise: Create and uphold comprehensive specifications and grading rules for all product categories within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.

Factory Collaboration and Training: Work closely with factories and internal teams to share fit DNA expertise ensuring alignment and adherence to the brands fit standards.

Product Insight: Apply a keen eye for aesthetics fit and silhouette to provide valuable input that enhances product design and execution.

Organize fit samples by logging incoming samples communicating fit priorities with production and setting up the fit rack accordingly.

Track and measure fit samples before fittings and participate in fit sessions by taking detailed and accurate fit notes.

Minimize the number of fit rounds while maintaining optimal fit and quality.

Execute fit comments promptly to ensure the fit process aligns with production schedules and action timelines partnering with the Product Development team to manage lead time priorities as needed.
