Job Summary

Introduction

This is a strategic role in which youll define and implement forward-looking data management and engineering frameworks that unlock business value ensure compliance and enable scalable analytics. Youll collaborate with senior stakeholders across divisions to embed best practices build robust data infrastructure and champion data as a strategic asset.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Management

Drive continuous improvement in data stewardship ownership and value measurement.
Establish governance frameworks policies and a Data Council to oversee data quality lineage and compliance.
Develop and execute a comprehensive data management strategy aligned to global best practices.

Data Engineering

Ensure infrastructure tooling and architecture support robust reusable and secure data solutions.
Operationalize data science models and integrate analytics into business workflows.
Lead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines and platforms.

Leadership & Collaboration

Manage budgets resources and delivery roadmaps for both data management and engineering functions.
Partner with executives IT and analytics teams to align data initiatives with strategic goals.
Build and mentor a high-performing team of data professionals.

Transformation & Innovation

Support digital transformation capacity optimization and workforce development through data-driven strategies.
Benchmark practices against global standards and identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements:

Education

A relevant Cloud Certification & experience in Python AWS Microsoft Hadoop Hive and Agile methodologies are advantageous.
Honours Masters or PhD in Engineering Mathematics Statistics Computer Science or related field.

Experience

Strong understanding of data lifecycle modelling master data and compliance frameworks(DAMA-DMBok)
Expertise in distributed data systems (e.g. Hadoop Spark Kafka) SQL and cloud infrastructure.
Experience in financial management departmental functions (Quality integration platform delivery)
5 years managing cross-functional teams.
2 years in delivering/supporting Machine Learning/Advanced Analytics models deployed
2 years in data architecture and governance.
68 years experience in data engineering
