Senior C++ Software Engineer for Space Systems

Were looking for a visionary engineer to join Honeywells Space team in the Czech Republic where innovation meets orbit. This is your chance to work on cutting-edge software for Quantum Key Distribution systemstechnology thats redefining secure communications in space and on this role youll be designing software architecture based on mission requirements and leading implementation efforts that directly support real-world aerospace projects. Youll also contribute to the development of future space technologies translating customer needs into product concepts conducting trade studies and shaping research proposals. With several active projects underway and collaborations with commercial space clients Honeywell International and the European Space Agency this is more than a jobits a launchpad for your career in space tech.

This is a hybrid role 3 days in office 2 from home.

• Perform design development and testing of application software for Quantum Key Distribution systems in object-oriented languages
• Decomposition of system requirements and architecture modification according to specific mission needs. UML modelling API definition.
• Support of the CI/ CD automation processes
• Cooperation with V&V teams support of V&V campaigns
• Agile management of sprints epics stories and tasks. Code review. Documentation creation. Development / test environment setup.

• Solid background in application development in C. Knowledge of any of the following is considered an advantage: C# Java Kotlin Python REST gRPC GraphQL React
• Knowledge of UML modelling API definition/ Implementation.
• Knowledge CI/ CD automation tools: BitBucket / Git Artifactory Bamboo Jira Confluence
• Knowledge of agile management
• Good command of English
