We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Technician to join our team at a food manufacturing facility in Henderson NV. The Quality Technician is responsible for performing standardized inspections product testing and quality checks to ensure all products meet company state and federal food safety and quality standards.
This role requires accuracy initiative and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
Conduct routine inspections and testing of raw materials in-process and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Maintain and calibrate testing and measuring equipment.
Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
Identify and report non-conformances assisting in root-cause investigations when necessary.
Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and sanitation standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process improvements.
Monitor and inspect areas for compliance with sanitation and safety protocols.
Complete and maintain inspection forms logs and related documentation.
Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime while maintaining quality control.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Additional coursework in quality or food science preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control or production (food manufacturing strongly preferred).
Familiarity with GMPs SOPs and food safety standards.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Basic math and computer skills for data entry and reporting.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks in a production environment.
Must be available to work overnight rotating and weekend shifts as required.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Food manufacturing facility with exposure to allergens (wheat nuts coconut soy products).
May require standing lifting and walking for extended periods.
Must wear appropriate PPE and comply with all FDA GMP and OSHA safety standards.
Overtime including weekends may be required based on production needs.
Frequent standing walking bending and reaching.
Occasional lifting or carrying of up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and noise levels typical of a production environment.
