This position requires an individual with a background and/or experience in biomechanics forensic accident reconstruction and injury analysis and human factors. The job involves participation in a wide variety of incident investigations accident reconstruction injury analysis product testing design evaluations safety and risk assessments. Projects require field work investigation analysis laboratory testing report development and legal testimony at deposition trial and other legal venues. The candidate will provide safety expertise as part of a multi-disciplinary team working on complex engineering projects and accident investigations.
The candidate will be responsible for planning directing and coordinating activities of small to large scale client projects as well as supporting projects led by other ESI consultants to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed timing and financial constraints by performing duties personally or in conjunction with other consultants. Work will include review of existing scientific literature and standards; and the performance or supervision of original research to obtain and analyze relevant technical data.
The candidate will interface with internal ESi consultants and directly with clients assessing client needs establishing performance timelines developing budgets and explaining complex technical concepts in lay terms. Professional certifications (if applicable) and a good publication/presentation record are desired.
