Law Clerk | Plaintiff

The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Law Clerk to join our Plaintiff Compensation team in Brisbane. You will be part of a friendly collegiate and hard-working team and will be supported with on-the-job training and professional development.

You will work alongside a dedicated team and will also have direct mentoring from our this role you will be exposed to a range of interesting personal injury cases and will have the opportunity to build your skills.

Who we are seeking:

Our ideal candidate will be studying towards a Bachelor of Laws with an interest to work in the Plaintiff Compensation stream. You may even have an interest in the medical field and are eager to apply your broad knowledge in a practical role.

In addition you will possess the following:

• Confidence to build on your legal skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation with clients and colleagues
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A keen eye for detail and excellent time-management skills
• Initiative and drive.

Other duties will include:

• Assisting the Principal and Solicitors on a range of personal injury claims.
• On a day-to-day basis assisting a solicitor with the conduct of their files.
• Assisting with negotiating settlements attending conferences mediations court and assisting with court processes.
• Drafting court documents including pleadings briefs and motions.
• Communicating directly with clients via email phone and in person meetings.
