As an Associate Product Designer at Gousto youll join our growing Digital Product team and work within one of our cross-functional product squads. Youll collaborate closely with engineers product managers and analysts to design experiences that make cooking at home simpler smarter and more sustainable. This is an early-career role where youll be supported by senior designers wholl help you develop your craft process and strategic design thinking guiding you through the full design lifecycle from discovery and research through to polished production-ready UI.
Youll have the opportunity to make a real impact early on designing products used by millions of customers and seeing your work ship your first six months youll help shape core parts of Goustos app and website playing a key role in shaping our product experience outside of the UK. Its an exciting chance to grow fast learn from experienced mentors and design work that truly matters.
Core Responsibilities:
- Create user flows wireframes prototypes and high-quality visual designs using Goustos design system
- Plan and run user research and testing to inform and validate design decisions
- Collaborate with Product Management Engineering and Data teams to align design work with customer and business goals
- Present and communicate design solutions clearly in reviews and cross-functional sessions
- Iterate on designs based on feedback data and testing insights
- Contribute to maintaining and evolving Goustos design system and design standards
- Support a collaborative feedback-driven design culture within your squad
Who You Are:
- Passionate about both UX and UI with a love for solving problems through thoughtful beautiful design
- Confident applying design principles such as layout hierarchy and interaction patterns
- Able to explain your thinking clearly and collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team
- Curious and eager to learn open to feedback and motivated to grow your design craft
- Comfortable working across the full design lifecycle from discovery to polished UI
- Skilled in using modern design tools (e.g. Figma) to create high-quality consistent work
- Organised and self-motivated able to balance multiple tasks and priorities
- Have a portfolio that demonstrates strong product thinking and visual craft
- Hold relevant professional experience or a degree/certification in Product Design UX HCI or a similar field
- Excited by Goustos mission and keen to design products that make a real impact on how people cook and eat at home
