The Senior Director of Finance will serve as a key strategic and financial leader for Pratt Miller an Oshkosh Corporation subsidiary known for its innovation advanced engineering and prototype manufacturing capabilities. The successful candidate will provide financial leadership and partnership across Pratt Millers three business unitsDefense Motorsports and Mobilityensuring financial discipline and strategic alignment that enable Pratt Millers role as a center of innovation within the Oshkosh enterprise.
The Senior Director of Finance will report to the Sr. Director Finance & Assistant Controller of Oshkosh Corporation with a dotted line to the Chief Executive Officer of the Pratt Miller segment. The position will be based in New Hudson MI (on-site required). This leader will oversee all aspects of financial planning reporting controls and performance management for the segment.
Direct reports include the Director of Finance Pratt Miller and the Controllers for each of the three business units: Defense Motorsports and Mobility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
The Senior Director of Finance will lead and influence across functional operational and business unit teams to deliver on the following key responsibilities:
Partner with the Pratt Miller CEO and executive leadership team to co-develop and execute strategies that align with the segments innovation and enterprise objectives.
Oversee accounting operations and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP SOX and Oshkosh Corporation policies.
Direct the preparation of accurate timely financial statements variance analyses and performance dashboards.
Lead all aspects of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) budgeting and forecasting for the segment.
Collaborate with Oshkosh Corporation and corporate finance peers to implement best practices and standardize processes.
Partner with business unit leaders to drive financial discipline cost management and operational excellence across programs. Promote transparent data-driven analysis of program performance and financial outcomes to support sound investment decisions and financial discipline.
Provide financial leadership for business case development project monitoring post-project reviews and financial accountabilitypromoting innovation within a framework of disciplined decision-making and measurable value creation.
Lead and develop a high-performing finance team strengthening Oshkoshs leadership pipeline and building enterprise capability through coaching succession planning and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Advance digital transformation through automation analytics and digital tools to enhance reporting accuracy timeliness and insight generation.
Oversee the coordination of internal and external audits and ensure adherence to federal state and local laws and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Economics or a related field.
12 years of progressive financial leadership experience including senior-level finance executive responsibility.
CPA and/or MBA preferred.
Familiarity with over-time revenue recognition and accounting for government contracts (FAR and CAS compliance preferred).
Background in engineering professional services or manufacturing organizations with project-based financial management experience.
U.S. citizenship required; security clearance preferred but not required.
Pay Range:
$158600.00 - $301400.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range individual pay is determined by various factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role the candidates experience education and skills as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
