SUMMARY
The Preschool Coordinator will coordinate Crane School District preschool programs for community preschool children and ensure compliance with state and federal mandates.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Seek and maintain funding licensing and state or national accreditation for district preschool programs.
- Supervise and coordinate implementation of District preschool programs and maintain compliance requirements with program requirements and the Arizona Department of Education.
- Supervise and coordinate testing for preschool students.
- Understand and implement research-based observational assessment tools e.g. GOLD Teaching Strategies Assessment Instrument C.L.A.S.S. (Classroom Assessment Scoring Systems) etc.
- Develop plan and implement staff development programs in the area of early childhood education developmentally appropriate practices and literacy development for program staff volunteers and parents.
- Observe and evaluate program staff.
- Develop a comprehensive system of family supports through assessment of families needs build upon their strengths provide parent training techniques and effectively connect families to community resources.
- Serve as the Liaison between Crane School District and Community Agencies in support of preschool programs and parent organizations to increase parent awareness of early literacy.
- Perform other related duties as required by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Arizona teaching certificate
- Early Childhood Endorsement (ECE) preferred
- (Individuals who hold an Elementary or Special Education certificate will qualify for the ECE with three (3) years of full-time teaching experience birth-Grade 3 within the previous 10 years AND a passing score on the Early Childhood Subject Knowledge (AEPA or NES) exam (prior to September 30 2014)
One (1) year teaching experience in Preschool Age 8 preferredSix (6) credits Administrative leadership coursework preferred
