A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Grade V Mobile Vaccination Service IHA Dublin South & Wicklow from which current and future permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.
Purpose of the Post:
To provide administrative support within the service and supervise assigned staff.
Details of the Service:
The HSE protects our population from threats to health and well-being through the provision of national immunisation and vaccination programmes the prevention and control of infectious diseases and response to environmental hazards and emergencies. It seeks to deliver measurable health improvement and provides public health assessment and advice to health and social care service planning all of which is underpinned by health intelligence.
Regional Vaccination Programme
The key function of the regional vaccination programme is to offer timely vaccines to the whole of the population for whom it is indicated. The Vaccination Programme is designed to ensure the safe effective and efficient administration of a vaccine to all residents in Ireland who are eligible and wish to receive it. The vaccination programme makes efforts to target hard to reach groups by providing targeted information and communications to these groups through appropriate avenues.
The vaccination programme has expanded to include the current workstreams:
COVID and Flu Vaccination Programme
Health Care Workers in community and acute settings
Residential Care Facilities (RCFs) Older Persons both private and CNUs
Housebound
Mental Health RCFs
Disability RCFs
Prison
Congregated Settings
Social Inclusion
Vulnerable Groups
Areas underserved by GPs and Pharmacies
Children 4 months to 4 years
Children 5 years to 11 years
LAIV for children
Vaccinate all children in schools across the region as per national guidelines
RSV Catch up immunisations
Support the delivery of catch-up immunisations for children under 6 months
BOTP/IPA catch up vaccination Programme:
0- to 23-year-olds across the BOTP and IPA sites catch up vaccin ation programme
Offer the full range of primary vaccinations as required
Monkey Pox:
Deliver vaccinations in collaboration with sexual health clinics and in the acute hospitals as required
Outbreak response:
Work closely with Public Health to supply timely vaccinations in Outbreak situations e.g. Diptheria Varicella etc.
Testing:
Set up Testing centres as part of an Emergency Response
Liaise with Access & Integration NAS Public Health and others on the roll out
Ensure the staff list is updated and SOPs are up to date
