Position: Regional Service Supervisor
Location: Field based Connaught/North Leinster
Job type: Full Time Permanent
The impact you will have
You will be responsible for maintaining Medical beds Mattress systems Patient hoists Assisted baths and Disinfection washers in Hospitals Nursing Homes and in the community.
Working to Service procedures in an efficient and productive manner to complete a service itinerary you will provide an excellent after sales customer service to our customers through effective communication and engagement.
You will supervision of a small team of Field Service Engineers (FSE) to achieve Departmental Objectives but on occasions act as the deputy to the Area Service Manager (ASM) on commercial and operational tasks. Ensuring customer satisfaction and service contracts are renewed in a timely fashion
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out service itinerary in accordance with Company and Service procedures whilst seeking to optimise use of time and minimise associated costs to help achieve the teams Profit Margins targets.
- Be conversant with ISO 9001:2008 ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 the Companys Integrated Management System.
- Ensure he/she is fully conversant with products working on and Company and Local Health and Safety Requirements and arrangements so work on customers premises is done in a professional and safe manner.
- Liaise with Arjo Service Admin Co-ordinator and Customer contacts to advise intended appointment times and duration of works to ensure customers are full informed at all times
- On arrival at customers premises to inform staff of reason for visit and request permission before carrying out required work. Upon completion of required work to ensure work area is clean and tidy disposal of part and chemicals is in line with site instructions and relevant documentation is fully completed and correctly authorised.
- Ensure personal appearance and levels of hygiene and health are of an exemplary standard in keeping with the Companys market area and ethos.
- Feedback any recommendations to Arjo following visits to customers premises and on an ongoing basis to contribute ideas and observations in a professional manner that may support the continuous improvement cycle in Arjo products and services.
- To maintain all tools spares and equipment within his/her care in a safe working condition highlighting anything unsafe to the Area Service Manager immediately. Any losses breakages or excess wear and tear should be reported to the Area Service Manager to authorise Engineer obtaining replacements
- Assist in monthly forecasting scheduling and completing of service maintenance plans.
- Be responsible for the collation and distribution of information in the ASMs absence to ensure that all the relevant information is available at all times.
- Lead a team of FSE and act as a point of contact and source of advice to the rest of the team.
- Complete Annual Performance Reviews for team.
- To undertake Audits on FSE at intervals stated within the Companies Quality Procedures.
- Complete and submit all relevant documentation accurately within agreed timescales.
- Assist in the recruitment of Field Service Engineers
- Deputise for the ASM either when he/she is absent from work during busy times or as part of their training and development in this role.
- Review and monitor stock turnover compliance SLA and financial turnover.
- Responsible for service contract renewals for customer within designated area by reviewing equipment condition life expectancy and End of life status.
- Present findings to appropriate Account Manager for relevant product
- Member of MDT for Insight Assessments
- Highlight to senior managers any shortcomings malpractice or dishonesty contrary to company policies and procedures discovered in the course of carrying out duties.
Knowledge/Skills required:
- Qualifications: City and Guild/NTEC/ONC or similar qualifications in mechanical/electrical engineering Desirable.
- Work Experience: Mechanical/electrical engineering experience Essential.
- Be conversant with ISO 9001:2008 ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 the Companys Integrated Management System - Desirable.
- Ideally has experience of supervising a team of engineers.
- Fully understands Health and Safety and EN regulations.
Other Essential Requirements:
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- UK Requirements: Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Driving Licence: Required to hold a valid Irish drivers licence.
- Travel: Ability to travel within the UK & I with occasional overnight stays as and when required.
