About Lagride Academy
Lagride Academy serves as the training and development arm of Lagride Nigeria Limited. The Academy was established to recruit groom and certify drivers into professional Captains who embody discipline safety consciousness and customer service excellence. Located in Lagos the Academy provides structured learning and continuous development opportunities for all drivers joining the Lagride platform.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a competent and visionary Head of Lagride Academy to lead all training onboarding and professional development initiatives for Lagride Captains. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and strong leader with a passion for human development operational structure and quality delivery. This position requires a proactive and result-oriented professional capable of building a training institution that produces well-trained responsible and service-driven Captains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight for the Academys operations ensuring alignment with Lagrides mission and mobility objectives.
- Training Development: Design implement and monitor driver training programs focused on professionalism safety customer service and technology usage.
- Curriculum Management: Develop and continuously update training modules ensuring they meet industry standards and operational realities.
- Staff Supervision: Lead and coordinate a team of instructors training officers and administrative staff to deliver efficient and impactful sessions.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate trainee progress ensuring readiness before deployment into active service.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with HR Operations and Technical Units to ensure training outcomes directly improve service quality and operational performance.
- Compliance & Certification: Ensure all training programs meet regulatory and company standards issuing certificates to qualified Captains.
- Reporting: Prepare periodic reports on training performance driver readiness and Academy impact for management review.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Education Human Resources Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience with at least 3 years in leadership or training management position.
- Proven experience in designing and managing large-scale training programs.
- Excellent leadership presentation and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Experience within the transportation logistics or e-hailing industry is a major advantage.
