Job Summary
The English Schools Foundation (ESF) Hong Kongs largest English-medium international school organisation seeks a meticulous and proactive Accounting Officer to join our growing team. This role requires a team player who can thrive in a multi-school environment and contribute to continuous improvement within a centralised payment framework. The accounting officer will report to the Payment Manager at the ESF head office.
Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day accounts payable tasks ensuring timely and accurate processing
- Participate in system and payment centralization initiatives contributing to increased efficiency
- Prepare expenses/month-end/year-end schedules and assist in the month-end closing procedures
- Handle petty cash transactions and maintain accurate records
- Provide administrative support including filing answering enquiries liaising with vendors schools and departments and any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Tertiary educated with a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in a sizable organization
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel Word etc.)
- Possess excellent written and spoken English fluency in Cantonese is an advantage
- A strong team player with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Well-organized self-motivated and detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
