This position is part of the Predictive Modeling chapter within Pharmaceutical Sciences with a focus on Disease Modeling (DM). DM specializes in mechanistic modeling statistical disease progression modeling advanced analytics and the integration of diverse data sources including omics and real-world data to develop actionable insights and predictive models. These models inform clinical decisions across all therapeutic areas through clinical trial simulations exploring various scenarios. DM also fosters modeling expertise within Roche by providing training support and promoting modeling & simulation methods.
Develop a statistical model to analyze neurofilament light chain (NfL) as a biomarker for neuro-axonal damage across neurological disorders like Alzheimers Huntingtons and multiple sclerosis.
Harmonize NfL measurements across various assays and biological matrices including plasma and CSF.
Identify demographic and physiological factors affecting NfL variability and explore correlations with brain structural or physiological changes from imaging data.
Utilize internal and external datasets to enhance interpretation of NfL levels for monitoring disease progression and evaluating treatment effectiveness.
You are a Masters or PhD student or have completed a Masters degree within the past 12 months prior to the start date specializing in computational biology applied mathematics statistics or physics and have some experience or familiarity with biological/physiological/medicine applications
You have strong programming skills in R Python and/or Julia.
Experience with analyzing biomarker or omics data combining different datasets or modelling biomarker dynamics is highly desirable.
You possess excellent command of the English language both written and spoken.
You are a team player with strong communication skills a focused work style and a results-driven mindset.
