About the opportunity
The Senior Policy & Legislation Advisor is responsible for the review analysis and development of policy and strategy in a range of contexts including strategic economic legislative regulatory and operational. The role formulates effective legislative and statutory solutions provides authoritative policy advice to WorkSafe and assess and responds to emerging trends and challenges in occupational health and safety and workers compensation.
The Senior Policy & Legislation Advisor will work across a broad range of subject matters including occupational health and safety and workers compensation and will work in a variety of settings including national government and stakeholder forums. Key accountabilities include:

You are a confident and strategic thinker with a proven record in developing and advising on complex legal and policy issues within a government or regulatory environment. Qualifications
A relevant tertiary qualification in Law Public Policy Social Sciences Economics or a related discipline is required.
