Job Summary

12 month Exempt; Grant funded

What you will do:

Program Leadership & Strategy: 

  • Design implement and oversee a best-in-class Before & After Care program that integrates academic enrichment social-emotional learning and recreational activities.

  • Establish and maintain high expectations for program culture ensuring it is inclusive identity-affirming and reflective of KIPPs commitment to equity.

  • Assess program effectiveness through data analysis and stakeholder feedback making equity-driven improvements as needed.

 

Curriculum & Enrichment Development: 

  • Develop and implement a robust curriculum that supports homework completion literacy and numeracy reinforcement STEM exploration and social-emotional skill-building.

  • Partner with school-based leadership to align programming with grade-level priorities and KIPPs broader academic and culture goals.

  • Ensure activities are culturally relevant developmentally appropriate and designed to engage diverse learners.

 

Staff Supervision & Professional Development: 

  • Recruit hire train and coach a high-performing team of Site Supervisors and Activity Specialists.

  • Provide ongoing professional development with a focus on culturally responsive teaching restorative practices and trauma-informed approaches.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning inclusivity and equity-centered leadership among program staff.

 

Operational Excellence & Safety Compliance:

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth program delivery including attendance tracking student transitions and facility management.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe supportive and accessible environment for all students.

  • Manage program budgets schedules and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and expand access for historically marginalized students.

  • Collaborate with ARCHS to ensure full compliance with all financial and operational requirements including budget oversight grant reporting and resource allocation to maximize program sustainability and effectiveness.

  • Conduct regular site visits with ARCHS to ensure all program sites meet compliance standards set by ARCHS and state mandates addressing any identified gaps and implementing corrective action plans as needed.

Family & Community Engagement: 

  • Build strong relationships with families ensuring they feel informed engaged and supported in their childs extended learning experience.

  • Develop initiatives to increase student participation particularly among families facing economic or systemic barriers.

  • Partner with community organizations mentors and local leaders to expand enrichment opportunities and provide additional resources for students.

 

Data Driven Decision Making

  • Monitor program metrics student attendance and academic/social-emotional progress to drive equitable program improvements.

  • Provide regular reports to the Vice President of Equity ensuring program goals align with KIPPs broader mission of educational access and inclusion.

 

Additional duties within reason may be assigned; such duties must be considered as beneficial and impactful to the mission of the organization.

 


Qualifications :

What you bring to the table: 

  • Bachelors degree required. Advanced degree preferred. 

  • 3 years of leadership experience (must have management of direct reports) in education youth programming or community engagement.

  • Proven track record of managing teams designing youth programs and driving student success.

  • Experience working with diverse student populations and implementing equity-focused practices.

  • Strong organizational problem-solving and strategic planning abilities.

  • Ability to coach and develop staff in an identity-affirming student-centered environment.

  • Deep commitment to equity inclusion and eliminating barriers to student success.

 

Physical demands/mental demands/environmental factors:

  • Operate a computer and office equipment on a daily basis including Google Suite

  • Do occasional moderate lifting pushing and pulling

  • Frequently move about inside the office/school to access materials and equipment

  • Occasionally position self to interact with students

  • Maintain emotional control under stress

  • Interpret policy procedures and data

  • Communicate effectively (verbal and written)
