    Compensation:

    • $18.00 to $20.00 per hour (based on experience and skill level)

    Job Goal:The Level 2 Computer Technicianposition provides essential first-line technical support to students and staff across Monroe Public Schools. Based at the Administration Building this role supports the daily operation and maintenance of district technology systems.

    Reports To:Director of District Technology

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • At least one (1) year of experience in IT support including the installation configuration maintenance and troubleshooting of operating systems hardware and peripheral devices.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
    • Effective time management and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally in person by phone and in writing.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Willingness to learn take direction and adapt to evolving technology needs.
    • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record (required for travel between locations).
    • Successful completion of a criminal background check.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide front-line technical support for staff and students across the district.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware software and connectivity issues.
    • Install and configure systems applications and devices.
    • Respond to and document help desk tickets in a timely and accurate manner using district ticketing systems.
    • Perform preventative maintenance and routine system updates.
    • Maintain and secure assigned areas including locking/unlocking doors and setting alarms.
    • Travel to district locations as needed to provide on-site support.
    • Lift and move equipment weighing up to 65 lbs.
    • Wear district-approved uniform during all shifts (shirts provided; employee supplies khaki or black pants and slip-resistant shoes).
    • Work overtime as needed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
