The successful School Business Manager will lead the finance and operations function manage budgets oversee payroll and pensions and ensure compliant systems across the school. The School Business Manager will also manage premises procurement and the administrative team reporting directly to the Headteacher and governors. This is an opportunity for a strategic School Business Manager to influence long-term financial planning from January 2026.

The Role
As School Business Manager you will prepare annual budgets produce monthly management accounts and lead audit preparations. The School Business Manager will manage cashflow oversee payroll and pensions negotiate supplier contracts and maintain robust internal controls. You will line-manage finance and administrative staff and provide clear financial reporting to governors. The appointed School Business Manager will be expected to commence duties in January 2026 supporting the schools financial planning process from January 2026.

Qualified accountant or equivalent experience as a School Business Manager.
