The successful School Business Manager will lead the finance and operations function manage budgets oversee payroll and pensions and ensure robust systems across the school. The School Business Manager will also manage premises procurement and the administrative team reporting directly to the Headteacher and governors. The Role
As School Business Manager you will prepare annual budgets produce monthly management accounts and lead audit preparations. The School Business Manager will manage cashflow oversee payroll negotiate supplier contracts and maintain robust internal controls. You will line-manage finance and administrative staff and provide clear financial reporting to governors. The appointed School Business Manager will be expected to commence duties in January 2026 supporting the schools financial planning from January 2026. The post is based in Brent and offers scope to shape operational delivery.
Person specification for the School Business Manager:
Qualified accountant or equivalent experience as a School Business Manager.
Demonstrable experience of school budgets payroll and management accounts as a School Business Manager.
Strong leadership and communication skills; able to start January 2026 in Brent.
