Job Description
An exciting opportunity has become available within a growing vending machine startup. As they are expanding they are looking for a dedicated and driven individual to join our team and take on a crucial role in stocking and maintaining their vending machines. The Vending Machine Operators key responsibilities are to service and maintain vending machines across designated routes ensure the restocking of products collecting payments performing minor repairs and ensuring the machines are clean and functioning properly.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in vending delivery or route-based work is an advantage.
- Valid South African drivers license
- Ability to perform physical tasks.
- Skills:
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic math and record-keeping abilities.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to think proactively.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Restock vending machines with snacks beverages or other relevant items.
- Collect cash and/or monitor digital payment systems.
- Clean machines and surrounding areas to maintain hygiene standards.
- Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting (e.g. coin jams display issues)
- Monitor inventory levels and sales trends to optimise product selection.
- Maintain accurate records of sales inventory and service schedules.
- Ensure machines are secure and report any incidents of damage or theft.
- Drive company vehicles between machine locations.
- Adhere to safety procedures and company policies at all times.
- Build and maintain relationships with location owners and customers.
