Job Summary

Position Overview:

As a Cashier Operator you will be responsible for handling all cash transactions on board the cruise ship. You will be the first point of contact for passengers who need to exchange currency make purchases or have any other financial transactions. You will work closely with the onboard finance team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all cash handling procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet and assist passengers in a friendly and professional manner

- Process all cash transactions accurately and efficiently

- Handle currency exchange for passengers

- Maintain accurate records of all transactions

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

- Assist with inventory management and restocking of merchandise

- Provide exceptional customer service at all times

- Communicate with the onboard finance team to resolve any discrepancies or issues

- Keep the cashier area clean and organized

- Adhere to safety and security protocols at all times

Qualifications:

- Fluent in German (written and spoken)

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous cash handling experience preferred

- Excellent customer service skills

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

- Knowledge of basic math and accounting principles

- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications for working on a cruise ship
