Job Summary

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Hospitality Operator to join our team. As a German speaking operator you will be responsible for interacting with our German-speaking guests and ensuring their needs are met throughout their stay on board the cruise ship. You will work closely with other members of the hospitality team to provide exceptional service and create a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet and welcome German-speaking guests upon arrival on board

- Provide information and assistance to guests in German including but not limited to dining options entertainment and on-board activities

- Coordinate and assist with guest requests and special arrangements

- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner

- Maintain a high level of knowledge about the ships amenities services and policies

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth operations

- Maintain a positive and friendly attitude at all times creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for guests

- Participate in training programs and continuously improve knowledge of German language and culture to better serve our guests

Requirements:

- Fluent in German (written and spoken)

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle guest complaints effectively

- Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed

- Knowledge of the cruise industry and ship operations is a plus

- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications for working on board a cruise ship
