This role is responsible for developing and maintaining a broad scope of new and existing customers within the cable assembly/wire harness and general electronics industries to increase sales of products.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute direct sales strategies to meetandexceed revenue targets.
Identifyand pursue new business opportunities within assigned territory or vertical markets.
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective customersvirtually and in-person.
Maintaindeepunderstanding of product features applications and industry standards ( A620).
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to address customer technical requirements.
Prepare quotes proposals and contracts in alignment with company policies.
Manage customer relationships and provide post-sale support to ensure satisfaction.
Attend trade shows industry events and customer visits to promote products and gather market intelligence approximately 30% of the time.
Maintainaccuraterecords of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM systems.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in electrical engineeringbusiness or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
1-3 years of direct sales experience ideally in electrical testing instrumentation or industrial equipment.
Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to plan effective trips and travel as needed; up to 30% of the time.
Ability to use the Microsoft products (Windows Office 365)
Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand complex electrical systems and testing protocols.
Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
Self-starter with strong organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiencyin CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience selling tomanufacturing MRO government OEM organizations.
Familiarity with products such as insulation testers circuit analyzers power quality meters or high-voltage test equipment.
Travel:
This is a blend of an inside and outside sales position that maintains a geographic selling area. This will include flying driving and overnight hotel stays up to 30% of time. Most travel will be in North America with occasional international travel opportunities.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical demands: Regularly lift 35 pounds and use of hand and wrists when typing information on keyboard. Must be able to twist reach overhead crawl stoop and bend to the floor. Occasionally lift 50 pounds.
- Visual accommodation: Must be able to read written materials and instructions to communicate with co-workers and customers.
- Hearing accommodation: Must be able to make and receive phone calls.
- Working conditions: Employee works in a clean environment with little exposure to fumes and dust. Work may occasionally be performed in a manufacturing type environment.
