Job Description:

The Program Director of Academic Effectiveness and Integrity provides strategic leadership for operationalizing institutional effectiveness accreditation readiness and data-informed decision-making processes across the university. Working closely with the Associate Provost and Director of Accreditation Assessment and Curriculum and with the Assistant Provost and Director of Institutional Assessment this position leads the development and implementation of comprehensive systems for institutional and academic assessment that support the university continuous quality improvement.

Drawing on extensive experience in academic assessment in both academic and professional programs and accreditation readiness the Program Director builds robust systems for reviewing and documenting curriculum develops institutional processes to sustain compliance with accreditation standards and partners with faculty and staff to translate assessment data into actionable strategies for enhancing teaching learning and student outcomes.

A recognized practitioner this position contributes to the field through collaborating in publications conference presentations and professional engagement fostering a university-wide culture of evidence-based practice. By mentoring faculty and academic assessment liaisons this position ensures that assessment practices are rigorous reliable and impactful shaping institutional priorities and guiding academic planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Institutional Effectiveness & Accreditation Readiness
    • Design and sustain institutional assessment systems that ensure compliance with SACSCOC HLC and other accreditation requirements.
    • Lead the review of Academic Assessment Plans Academic Learning Compacts and Institutional Effectiveness and Academic Assessment annual reports ensuring data validity and alignment with institutional goals. Support units completing these materials for submission.
    • Serve as a liaison for institutional accreditation efforts including reaffirmation processes and peer review engagements.
    • Support efforts to transition to a new accrediting agency.
  • Curriculum Leadership & Faculty Engagement
    • Partner with academic leaders and faculty to strengthen curriculum design assessment methods and learning outcomes.
    • Organize and facilitate workshops collaborative sessions and other learning opportunities to integrate assessment findings into curricular improvements.
  • Data Strategy & Analysis
    • Collaborate with university-wide data collection analysis and interpretation for major initiatives such as general education reform and Quality Enhancement Plans.
    • Translate findings into actionable insights for academic and administrative leadership.
  • Scholarship & Professional Development
    • Contribute to the scholarship of assessment through collaborative publications presentations and conference participation.
    • Provide professional development opportunities for faculty staff and assessment liaisons to strengthen evidence-based teaching and learning practices.
  • Leadership & Team Management
    • Supervise institutional effectiveness initiatives fostering a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
    • Build partnerships across divisions to advance continuous improvement efforts.
Expected Salary:

$120000 - $133000 annually; commensurate with education and experience.

Required Qualifications:

Masters degree in appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience or a bachelors degree in appropriate areas of specialization and eight years of experience.

Preferred:

Doctorate or other terminal degree collegiate teaching experience experience/background in institutional assessment processes and familiarity with the University of Florida Assessment System Campus Labs Planning and Compliance Assist or additional assessment software.
