Job Summary
Job Summary Medical Surgical / Registered Nurse
- Position: Medical Surgical/Registered Nurse (Med Surg RN)
- Schedule: 4x12 hour DAY shifts 48 hours per week
- Start Dates: 12/1 or 12/15
- Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years recent Med Surg experience
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Large hospital experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Patient Ratio: 1:7 (team nursing model with additional support from PCC LPN etc.; ratios may be higher)
- First-time travelers: Not accepted
- On-Call: As needed
- Weekend Requirement: As needed
- Block Schedule: Not routinely accommodated (weekend blocks may be discussed during interview)
- Local Candidates: Not accepted (Strict 100-mile radius rule)
- License: No pending licenses accepted; must be in compliance with NLC guidelines
- Time Off: All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with application; no post-offer RTO approval
- Submission Rules: Do not submit to multiple job IDs/facilities; only one submission per traveler
- Facility: Short-term acute care Level I Trauma Center
- Other: High acuity environment; must be adaptable and work well in a team nursing model
