Job Summary
Job Description: Medical Scribe at AmeriHealth Hospice
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with documenting patient assessments medical histories and treatment plans.
- Transcribe patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure timely and accurate electronic medical record (EMR) documentation.
- Coordinate patient care by facilitating communication between healthcare team members.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Attend to administrative tasks as needed to support the healthcare team.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating patient referrals.
Essential Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Scribe training program or equivalent experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems.
- Understanding of healthcare ethics and patient privacy laws.
Desired Experience:
- Prior experience working as a Medical Scribe in a hospice or palliative care setting.
- Familiarity with end-of-life care practices and principles.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and emotional situations with empathy.
Salary & Benefits:
The salary range for this position is between $124000 to $135000 annually.
