Job Summary
The Emergency Preparedness and Environmental Safety Coordinator is responsible for the planning implementation and continuous improvement of emergency preparedness and environment safety programs across PIH Health Physicians (PHP) ambulatory MOBs. This role ensures a safe secure and regulatory-compliant environment across all PHP MOBs.
The coordinator partners closely with PHP group operational leadership and the RN Clinical Director of Education to align policies procedures and training with federal state and local regulations. Program elements include but are not limited to: emergency preparedness and business continuity planning hazardous waste management medical waste management workplace violence prevention life safety compliance and environment of care rounds.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform job related activities utilizing correct body mechanics.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong presentation and training facilitation skills.
- Ability to adapt regulatory standards into ambulatory workflows.
- Independent decision-making and sound judgement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
