Job Title:IT Application Development (Senior Specialist) API & Interface Analyst
Location: Thurston County Olympia Washington (This position is remote with an occasional in-person meeting at our headquarters in Olympia. During the implementation phase of the IT modernization initiative project (outlined below) in-person presence will increase).

The Opportunity:
Come work on our dynamic team while helping the children and families of Washington State! The Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) is a multi-year IT modernization initiative. This is a mission-critical project that directly supports the agencys business objectives and long-term vision. The API & Interface Analyst plays a crucial role in the transition from legacy systems to the new CCWIS solution. This position is focused on ensuring that all necessary interfaces between legacy systems and the new CCWIS platform are properly managed and maintained during and after the transition. The Analyst will work closely with the Decommission Lead to ensure that data and functionality are seamlessly transferred while also managing the decommissioning of any redundant or outdated interfaces.

Equivalent combination of education and experience totaling twelve (12) years of progressively complex problem-solving experience developing and maintaining high availability enterprise application programming interfaces (API) and associated web applications using C# or Java and SQL databases ANDFour (4) years of progressively more complex problem solving experience developing and maintaining data interface applications including Extract Transform and Load (ETL) batch processing (May be gained concurrently with experience above).
OR
Associate degree in computer science or closely related field AND Ten (10) years of progressively more complex problem-solving experience developing and maintaining high availability enterprise application programming interfaces (API) and associated web applications using C# or Java and SQL databases AND Four (4) years of progressively more complex problem solving experience developing and maintaining data interface applications including Extract Transform and Load (ETL) batch processing (May be gained concurrently with experience above).
OR
Bachelors degree in computer science or closely related field AND Eight (8) years of progressively more complex problem-solving experience developing and maintaining high availability enterprise application programming interfaces (API) and associated web applications using C# or Java and SQL databasesANDFour (4) years of progressively more complex problem solving experience developing and maintaining data interface applications including Extract Transform and Load (ETL) batch processing (May be gained concurrently with experience above).
