The Role

As the Philanthropy Operations Administrator youll join the Philanthropy Groups Mid-level and Planned Giving teams who focus on developing relationships with high value individual donors who give $1000 and above and who give through their estate plans respectively. This position plays an important and exciting new role in the integration of these teams. You will provide data management marketing communication and fundraising support to the fast-paced teams building rapport with internal stakeholders external partners and donors. You will assist with a variety of responsibilities with great opportunities to learn about and contribute to the work of Save the Children.

Hybrid with position to be based out of the Fairfield CT office.

What Youll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Provide administrative assistance to the Planned Giving and Mid-Level teams (80%):â

  • Under the direction of the Senior Managing Director Planned Giving you will support the teams in cultivating and stewarding relationships with current and prospective donors.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of and serve as the shared team point-person for the donor database. Ensure accurate records for planned giving and mid-level donors and prospects confirming data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Help with marketing vendors to manage mailings including newsletters holiday cards and special appeals.â
  • Compile initiate and logically format data and run reports that contribute to analysis and ensure proper coding is applied to relevant donor records.

Coordinate and Streamline Operations (20%)

  • Act as a resource for other team members; network and collaborate with peers within the department division and agency.
  • Track and disseminate leads generated from toll-free phone line mailbox and webpages and refer to appropriate team members.
  • Assist with Philanthropy webinars and other events as needed.
  • Provide support with scanning filing and forwarding mail to team scheduling meetings processing expenses and booking travel.

Required qualifications for the role

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent plus at least 1 year of relevant experience or education
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively anticipating potential challenges and finding and executing creative solutions.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven attention to detail and a high degree of customer service and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated professional adaptability and situational flexibility.
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English

Preferred qualificationsfor the role

  • Experience with planned giving is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with Blackbaud or Salesforce CRM

Compensation

Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position dependent on candidate location:

  • Geo 1 - NY Metro DC and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target hourly pay for this position is$24.31 - $27.18
  • Geo 2 - Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target hourly pay for this position is$21.66 - $24.21
  • Geo 3 - Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target hourly pay for this position is$19.41 - $21.69

The salary ranges listed above are for US based candidates. For candidates located outside of the US salary ranges will be based on the salary scales of the local employer of record. Actual base salary may vary based on but not limited to relevant experience base salary of internal peers business sector and geographic location (more information on job structure is available here).
