SUMMARY
The Parking Technology Support Specialist is responsible for serving as a technical resource and liaison for the Parking Systems Network between I&T customers and various departments. This person responds to and diagnoses problems through discussion with users troubleshooting diagnosing and identifying potential solutions to issues. Providing training to staff on software and hardware use and configuring simple to intermediate departmental technology will be within the scope of responsibility. Additional responsibilities may include overseeing the work of vendors and maintaining tools or systems in support of departmental business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides technical support and troubleshooting. Monitors and responds to support phone calls and emails.
Analyzes specifications for new hardware and software. Tests equipment and software.
Maintains and updates inventory and recommends upgrades as needed.
Manages and provides coordination for projects related to technology refresh and operating system upgrades. Communicates with vendors other technicians and customers.
Creates and maintains custom task sequences and other custom code for front-end image management.
Creates task sequences to apply business department specific configurations.
Develops tests and deploys updates to enterprise workstations.
Generates documentation on resolution of technical issues on various technologies.
Performs related work as required.
Monitors the installation troubleshooting repair and preventive maintenance of the Parking Access and revenue control system along with other related parking systems.
Ability to communicate technical expertise to all levels of technology users.
Assist contractors/technicians to find and troubleshoot various parts of the system.
Knowledge of PCI compliance
A hybrid work-site schedule is offered with a combination of in-office and remote hours available per supervisor approval.
Reports back to work as needed for overnight changes or issues that occur from parking systems.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Although this is not a supervisor role the work may require occasional direction of assistants seasonal employees interns or temporary employees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate or Equivalent and 5 years relevant work experience
OR
Associate degree and 3 years relevant work experience
OR
Bachelors degree and 1-year relevant work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
At least two years of relevant college-level course work or an Associates degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in information technology support including hardware software and networking.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
