The Senior Officer Academic Language and Literacy Development plays a vital role in designing embedding delivering and evaluating inclusive and scalable programs that strengthen students academic language and literacy throughout their learning journey. This position focuses on embedding academic language and literacy support into the curriculum and developing high-quality co-curricular initiatives that help students build both foundational and discipline-specific skills. All activities are guided by pedagogical best practice and aligned with the universitys strategic priorities.
Reporting to the Lead Academic Success and Faculty Engagement the Senior Officer works collaboratively with academic staff faculties and central teams to create learning resources activities and assessment tools that promote student achievement and engagement. The role also supports the implementation of technology-enhanced learning solutions and contributes to key institutional initiatives including the Academic Language and Literacy Embedding (ALL-E) project and the Post-Entry English and Academic Language (PEAL) Framework helping to ensure a cohesive and impactful approach to academic language and literacy development across the university.
