Job Title: IT Specialist Senior
Task Order: HBITS
Agency: State of New York Office of Information Technology Services (ITS)
Location: Hybrid Albany NY
Duration: 30 Months
Rate: Depends on experience

Position Overview

The IT Specialist Senior will provide technical assistance and assessment of designated New York State Department of Labor (NYS DOL) facilities through the ITS Network Site Consultation process. Responsibilities include evaluating circuit bandwidth conducting wireless predictive surveys assessing cabling requirements and performing network and wireless upgrades. This position requires travel to complete physical site assessments.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed site survey consultations and travel to perform on-site assessments.
Provide rough order magnitude estimates for site surveys.
Submit internal requests to fulfill site surveys and monitor progress to resolution.
Act as liaison between ITS and DOL for site survey coordination and issue resolution.
Implement configure install troubleshoot relocate and remove various network equipment as needed.

Qualifications

5 years of experience installing and troubleshooting PCs and printers.
5 years of experience installing and troubleshooting servers.
1 year of experience installing and troubleshooting VOIP phones.
5 years of experience installing and troubleshooting data communications equipment.
5 years of experience conducting technical site surveys.
5 years of experience with data cable installation and troubleshooting.
3 years of experience conducting inventory control.
3 years of experience in desktop support.
