Job Description:
The Ocean Import Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing ocean freight import operations. The individual will be responsible for coordinating shipments communicating with clients and vendors and ensuring smooth and efficient import processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute ocean import shipments according to customer requirements
- Interface with carriers vendors and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Prepare and process documentation related to import shipments
- Monitor shipment status and provide updates to stakeholders
- Resolve any issues or delays in the import process
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all shipments
- Provide excellent customer service and address any inquiries or concerns
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ocean freight import operations
- Strong knowledge of import regulations customs procedures and documentation requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Desired Experience:
- Experience working in a freight forwarding company
- Knowledge of import software and systems
- Experience with customer service in the logistics industry
Salary & Benefits:
