Requirements

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pension Actuarial Analyst to support our audit teams in reviewing and evaluating UK Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with IAS 19 and FRS 102 standards validating actuarial assumptions and delivering high-quality audit documentation. Ideal candidates will bring actuarial expertise pension scheme knowledge and a collaborative mindset to help resolve complex technical issues.





Required Skills:

- Proven experience with UK Defined Benefit pension schemes including actuarial valuations and pension accounting. - Familiarity with UK pension legislation including GMP Excess tranches and statutory increases. - Working knowledge of IAS 19 and FRS 102 financial reporting standards. - Understanding of UK pension scheme structures especially DB schemes. - Awareness of common DB scheme options: - Transfer Values - Early/Late Retirement - Pension Increases - Augmentation - Additional Dependent Pension - Guarantees - Basic understanding of surplus recognition in pension schemes. - Strong analytical and documentation skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
