We are looking for a data-driven Strategic Financial Analyst who will be an integral part of our finance team. Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Finance this individual will play a critical role on a team that combines strategy advanced analytics and financial analyses to enable the Company to scale successfully.
The ideal candidate has a strong FP&A foundation withdemonstratedexpertisein modern finance tools and techniques including SQL Python and advanced data visualization platforms. This role requires someone who can work with large complex datasets spanning multiple yearsidentifymeaningful correlations across disparate data sources and translate these insights into actionable forecasting building the analytical foundation for how we forecast renewals non-renewal bookings and customer behavior - moving beyond traditional methods toleveragestatistical modeling and eventually AI/ML techniques.
This individual must be highly analytical and process oriented with excellent communication/collaboration skills and a proventrack recordof synthesizing and simplifying complex issues for diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Partner with cross-functional teams including Accounting Sales andRenewalsto drive GTM strategyas well as strategic finance initiatives
Drive strategic decision making byprovidingactionable insights through reporting and ad hoc analyses
Extract transform and analyze large datasets from multiple sources using FabricSQLand Python
Perform 2nd and 3rd order analysison large datasetsusing modern finance tools to move beyond surface-level metrics and uncover deeper insights into business drivers and performance trends
Design and implement predictive analytics models for revenue forecasting churn prediction and customer lifetime value
Create build andmaintaininteractive dashboards and reports using Power BIor similar visualization tools
Build automated financial models and dashboards using Python SQL and advanced Excel techniques
Implement automation solutions to streamline financial processes and reduce manual reporting efforts
Leverage Python scripts and automation tools to enhance data accuracy and reporting efficiency
Build multiple forecast scenarios with business partner inputleveragingstatistical modeling and sensitivity analyses
Identifyrecommendand drive process improvement initiatives to enable efficiencies and scale across the organization
Explore and implement agentic solutions for repeatable financial processesleveragingAI automation to handle routine decision-making tasks and free up time for strategic analysis
Develop and/or enhance key metrics that bring insightful and actionable insights
Assistin the preparation of management reports and monthly/quarterly financial updates
Perform complex ad hoc analyses as neededutilizingadvanced statistical techniques and data mining methods
- Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices including but not limited to Hylands Information Systems Security Policy.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Finance Business Administration or a related field
3 - 5 years in varying Strategic Finance or FP&A roles SaaS experience strongly preferred
Strongproficiencyin SQL for data extraction manipulation and analysis
Working knowledge of Python for financial modeling data analysis and automation (pandasnumpy scikit-learn)
Experience with AI/ML forecasting models and predictive analytics
Familiarity with modern data stack tools (Snowflakedbt Looker etc.)
Advancedproficiencyin data visualization tools (Power BI Tableau or similar platforms)
Experience building financial models that integrate with data warehouses and BI platforms
Knowledge of statistical modeling techniques and their application to financial forecasting
Deep understanding of SaaS business models and GTM metrics (Rule of 40 Net Revenue RetentionRenewal Calculationsetc.)
Prior experience with Financial Reporting systems Adaptive Planninga plus
Prior business partnering experience or demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional leaders strongly preferre
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively translate for non-finance audiences of varying levels
Superior analytical and modeling skills including advancedproficiencyin Excel
