CHA Consulting Inc. is currently seeking aSr. Project Manager Ito join ourCommercial & Institutional Land Development Teamat ourRaleigh NC; Charlotte NC; Columbia SC; or Richmond VAoffice.

YOUR IMPACT

Effective land development projects hinge on collaborative efforts between developers regulatory bodies community stakeholders consultants and local review boards. At the outset of a project CHA prioritizes a comprehensive assessment of its impact on the entire community accounting for all moving parts. We then skillfully execute development to enhance traffic stormwater drainage water quality sanitary services and the built environment. CHA has completed thousands of projects across the country including warehouses retail mixed-use and residential projects for private developers as well as parks and recreational facilities trails sidewalk and streetscape improvements port facilities stream restorations major utility extensions public housing and entertainment venues for public/government agencies.

At CHA the Sr. Project Manager works diligently to complete projects within the scope budget and schedule while thoroughly understanding all project risks and applicable financial measures. This senior key role is responsible for managing the overall client relationship including any technical financial or logistical issues that may arise. Our Sr. Project Managers are skilled collaborators who are experts at problem solving and adapting and staying calm under pressure. This individual sells and develops work with specific clients ultimately leading to a seller/doer dual role.

Our Sr. Project Managers are leaders in identification of target market areas and marketing plan development. The professional in this role clearly and successfully communicates updates to the client management and project team as well as prepares for and attends monthly project review meetings with operations. The Sr. Project Manager plays an important role in setting visions and strategies for other Project Managers and understands the professional goals of others.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree in engineering landscape architecture planning engineering management or a related degree is required; Masters Degree preferred
  • PE RLA or equivalent professional license preferred
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • A minimum of 11 years of experience required; a minimum of 8 years of project management experience required
  • Experience preparing proposals project plans extra work authorizations and project closeout documents for projects required
  • Experience executing client and project development to drive growth goals within the organization
  • Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships
  • Experience understanding and interpreting client contract requirements
  • Ability to track and oversee multiple projects required
  • Ability to inspire motivate build and manage relationships across the company and infleunce decisions from the top down and bottom up
  • Experience utilizing problem-solving skills exercising discretion and making independent judgments required
  • Experience managing project accounting processes to include project budgeting forecasts and cash management required
  • Experience in Microsoft Office suite required
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred
  • An articulate and persuasive communicator with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Knowledge of MS Project and/or Primavera P6 preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed required

SALARY RANGE:

$144000 - $176000

Salary is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to qualifications experience education licenses specialty training and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
