Job Summary

Introduction

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Litigation Associate to join a respected national law firm with offices in Johannesburg Durban and Cape Town.

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage and conduct commercial litigation matters across all courts including High Court and Constitutional Court proceedings.
Draft pleadings heads of argument affidavits and correspondence in litigation and dispute resolution matters.
Handle administrative law public law and constitutional law cases involving government and state entities.
Provide strategic legal advice to clients in both the public and private sectors.
Engage directly with clients counsel and stakeholders providing practical high-quality legal solutions.
Manage multiple cases under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy professionalism and strategic focus.
Supervise junior associates and contribute to the growth and mentorship of the litigation department.

Desired Experience & Qualification

LLB Degree
Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa
Minimum 5 years post-admission experience in commercial and administrative litigation
Proven experience in public law constitutional law and dispute resolution
Right of appearance in the High Court
Strong analytical and drafting skills
Excellent communication client management and interpersonal abilities
High degree of professional integrity attention to detail and ethical conduct
