A large well-established law firm specialising in conveyancing is seeking a dynamic resourceful and solutions-driven Conveyancing Attorney to join their Cape Town branch.
This role is suited to a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced target-driven legal environment and is committed to delivering exceptional client service and high-quality conveyancing work.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will manage client interactions oversee conveyancing processes and ensure efficient handling of property transfer matters while maintaining compliance with legal and banking requirements. The role requires strong relationship-building skills attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Meeting with clients to attend to document signing and verification
- Ensuring all FICA documentation complies with minimum FICA Act and bank SLA requirements
- Collaborating closely with Transfer Secretaries to review files and address potential challenges prior to client consultations
- Ensuring all client appointments are attended to timeously
- Managing and resolving client queries and complaints efficiently and professionally
- Keeping Directors informed regarding client matters and resolutions
- Generating new business opportunities and developing a sustainable client base
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Ensuring effective handling of internal and external conveyancing processes
- Maintaining high service standards and turnaround times within a target-driven environment
Minimum Requirements
- LLB Degree (essential)
- Minimum 1 year post-admission experience as an Attorney
- Admitted Conveyancer with at least 1 year’s conveyancing experience
- Strong client relationship management and client service experience
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet performance targets
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Willingness to travel when required
