Job Summary

Scope of Work

The selected consultant will be responsible for transforming two technical research reports under the Biodiverse Landscapes Fund (BLF) into high-quality communication-ready materials that clearly convey the key findings lessons learned and proposed interventions to strengthen the coffee and livestock value chains in the study areas. The purpose of this consultancy is to ensure that the research outputs are accessible to a broader audience while maintaining technical accuracy and full alignment with SNV and BLF communication standards.

Specific tasks include:

Pre-Production (Preparation & Content Planning)

  • Conduct an initial briefing with the SNV BLF team to understand project objectives key messages and target audiences.
  • Review the two existing reports:
    • Sustainable Coffee Value Chain in the Northern Central Highlands
    • Livestock Value Chain in the North Central Region
  • Identify priority findings lessons learned and promising practices for communication adaptation.
  • Develop a proposed content plan and production schedule for report editing interviews and blog article development.
  • Prepare a structure outline and tone/style guide consistent with SNV and BLF branding and editorial requirements.

Production (Editing Interviews & Writing)

  • Edit and proofread both research reports to improve clarity readability and flow while maintaining technical accuracy.
  • Ensure reports adhere to SNV/BLF writing style branding and inclusive communication standards.
  • Conduct 3-4 semi-structured interviews with project staff and consultants capture practical insights.
  • Develop one blog-style article ( words) synthesizing both studies and interviews tailored for web publication.

Post-Production (Finalization & Submission)

  • Revise deliverables based on SNV feedback and finalize all products for publication.
  • Submit the following final outputs:
    • Two edited communication-ready research reports (English).
    • One blog article ( words).
    • One short interview summary note (12 pages).
  • Deliver all files in editable (Word) and publication-ready (PDF) formats.
  • Provide a short completion note summarizing methodology interviewees and key revisions made.

Deliverables

Edited Reports

  • 2 x Communication-Ready Research Reports:
    • Sustainable Coffee Value Chain Study (Northern Central Highlands)
    • Livestock Value Chain Study (North Central Vietnam)
  • Both reports edited and proofread for clarity consistency and alignment with SNV and BLF writing style.
  • Reports formatted for online publication (MS Word and PDF).

Blog Article

  • 1 x Blog-Style Article ( words) synthesizing insights from both studies and interviews.
  • Delivered in English and formatted for web publication.

 Note:

  • All final deliverables submitted in both English and Vietnamese.
  • All final deliverables submitted in editable (Word) and publication-ready (PDF) formats.
  • Accompanied by a short completion note summarizing work process interviewees and revisions made.

All materials to follow SNVs visual identity accessibility and inclusive communication standards.

Time Frame

The service is expected to be carried out over a period of approximately 3 weeks time period expecting from 1 to 20 December 2025.  During this period the consultant will work closely with SNVs BLF team to review existing materials conduct interviews and develop the required communication products. The indicative schedule is as follows:

  • Project initiation and planning (tentatively from 17 December 2025):
    Kick-off meeting briefing with the SNV BLF team review of reports and development of the content plan.
  • Content development (815 December 2025):
    Editing and proofreading of two research reports conducting quick interviews and drafting the blog article.
  • Review and finalisation (1620 December 2025):
    SNV review and feedback integration followed by submission of all final deliverables (reports blog and interview notes).

Qualifications :

Proposal Submission

Interested service provider(s) are invited to submit the following documents by sending attached files to this site:

1. Due Diligence document Technical and cost proposal(s) comprising of the following:

  • Detailed reference list indicating the scope and magnitude of similar assignments.
  • Relevant services undertaken in the past three (3) years.
  • Registration and other relevant statutory documents.
  • Sample of work(s) of similar works.
  • Full costing for proposed work in local currency.
  • An indication of your rate for retainer services for consideration for future assignments.

Ethical Code for Visual Communications 

  • Ensure respectful collaborative and culturally informed storytelling engaging subjects appropriately and upholding their dignity in all images and narratives.
  • Exercise careful judgement in capturing and publishing visual materials prioritising individuals rights consent wellbeing and compliance with GDPR and SNVs child safeguarding policy.
  • Actively consider the impact of our imagery seeking feedback responding to concerns and striving to portray shared humanity responsibly and ethically.

Interested service providers can submit their technical proposal including CVs of experts and the cost of the specific assignment according to the instructions in this site before 17.00p.m on 19 November 2025.

Should offerors wish to include proprietary intellectual property that they believe would be helpful for SNV please note the proprietary nature of such information. Costing information will be kept confidential and will not be shared beyond SNV.
