Role Purpose
Director Head of Communications and Events is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies that strengthen brand reputation drive stakeholder engagement and support business objectives across company. This role requires strategic leadership crisis management expertise and the ability to deliver impactful internal external communications and corporate events.
Key Responsibilities
1. Communications Strategy
Develop and implement integrated communication strategies aligned with business priorities across company.
Partner with internal teams and EMT of each division to ensure consistent messaging and brand positioning.
Drive thought leadership initiatives to enhance executive visibility and corporate reputation.
2. Media Relations & Issues Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with media.
Lead crisis and issues management planning including development of playbooks and rapid response protocols.
Serve as spokesperson on key industry topics and manage proactive and reactive media engagement.
3. Internal Communications
Oversee internal communication programs to ensure timely accurate and engaging messaging for employees.
Manage internal communication channels and measure effectiveness to continuously improve outcomes.
4. Corporate Events
Provide strategic oversight for major corporate events town halls across company.
Ensure events deliver exceptional engagement and align with brand values.
5. Digital & Social Media
Leverage digital platforms to amplify communications enhance media coverage and strengthen reputation.
Monitor and report on campaign performance and engagement metrics.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Journalism Communications or related field.
8 years of experience in corporate communications media relations and stakeholder engagement preferably in a regional or global role.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (additional Asian languages a plus).
Proven ability to manage crises and complex issues across multiple markets.
Strong leadership and collaboration skills within matrix organizations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with digital communication tools.
Strategic thinker with creativity and intellectual curiosity.
