Job Purpose

The Senior Frontend Developer will be part of a high-performance feature driven development team responsible for building complex ecommerce solutions. You must have a proven track record of solving tough business and technical problems while taking responsibility for meeting business objectives with a strong sense of product ownership. This job requires strong technical collaboration and communication skills to provide guidance and expertise throughout the entire software development lifecycle ensuring the success of you and your teams efforts. You should have strong communication and mentoring skills expertise with software development lifecycle methodologies extensive experience and knowledge of web and frontend development techniques.

In this role you will get to

• Participate in identifying and managing development-related risks on assigned projects;
• Work with Development Lead and project leads to understand business needs define technical issues and propose solutions;
• Help ensure front-end development teams compliance with all outlined processes and procedures;
• Analyze business and technical specifications/requirements and develop enterprise-level e-commerce solutions;
• Work in collaboration with Graphic Designers & UX Designers to turn their vision into functional HTML templates;
• Work with a web development team to ensure proper implementation of the websites functionality;
• Provide inputs for SOW effort estimation and identify development-related risks on assigned project;
• Provide the best technical solutions for tasks utilizing best practices and design patterns;
• Support and help front-end developers come up with the best technical solutions;
• Provide recommendations to Development Lead and Department Leaders on how to improve processes systems tools and role definitions based on program or project-specific experience;
• Drive training standards for front-end developers through collaboration with people leaders;
• Actively contribute to or drive continuous improvements to development methodology and underlying processes;
• Conduct onboarding and coaching of new front-end developers;
• Help manage assigned projects by making suggestions for design development and QA processes;
• Actively participate in team meetings and brainstorming activities related to project & practice issues.

Your skills and qualifications

• 3 years of front-end development experience;
• Strong proficiency in hand-coding HTML & CSS;
• Experience with CSS pre- postprocessors (LESS Sass Postcss etc.);
• Proven knowledge of JavaScript and related libraries for cross-platform development;
• Proficiency with task runners (Webpack Gulp Parcel etc.);
• Solid understanding of accessibility (WCAG ARIA) SEO and UX principles in front-end development;
• Experience with client-side performance optimization debugging and debugging tools (e.g. Chrome DevTools);
• Hands-on experience with responsive web design and mobile-first development;
• Familiarity with design tools such as Figma Zeplin and Adobe XD;
• Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS);
• Hands-on experience with version control tools such as Git;
• Base knowledge of performance optimization;
• Solid knowledge of architectural approaches and best practices;
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate development;
• Experience leading and managing at least 2 middle developers;
• Ability to provide effort estimates for own tasks & identify development-related risks on assigned projects;
• Spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
