HSE Registrar Aide and Tester
Grant Funded Position
POSITION SUMMARY
The HSE Registrar Aide and Tester supports the Adult Education Center in maintaining accurate student records administering assessments and ensuring that learners are appropriately placed in High School Equivalency (HSE) programs. This role works closely with staff students and administrators to support the successful operation of HSE registration and placement processes in alignment with DESE and program guidelines.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree required.
- Experience working with diverse adult learners including English language learners and individuals from various cultural backgrounds.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace Zoom Outlook and database systems (LACES experience preferred).
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidential records accurately.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work morning and/or evening hours as required by program needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct intake and registration for new and returning adult education learners.
- Schedule and administer all required assessments for HSE students enrolled in morning evening remote and in-person classes (e.g. Locators MAPT pre- and post-tests).
- Send email and text reminders to students assist with student placement and provide information about class options.
- Monitor and manage students follow-up data respond to queries and update records in LACES to ensure accurate and timely maintenance of student information.
- Provide support with data input and maintenance in the LACES database as needed.
- Communicate effectively with HSE Registrar lead teachers instructors and Students Support Services Staff to ensure smooth scheduling and student support.
- Provide information to students about testing procedures scheduling and class options.
- Participate in staff meetings trainings and program planning activities as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or HSE Registrar.
Reports to: Director of Adult Education
Effective Date of Employment: To be determined
Terms of Employment: Hours not to exceed 18 per week no benefits Grant-funded
Rate of Pay: $24.00 per hour
