Our Op Shop teams do fantastic work in the community selling affordable pre-loved goods and this helps to fund our essential lifesaving services and community initiatives.

They have created friendly supportive community hubs offering much-needed local services and even help New Zealand to be more environmentally sustainable - more recycling means less landfill!

Maybe you already have retail or customer service experience or perhaps youre looking for an opportunity to learn these skills - either way wed love to hear from you.

Retail Assistant:

Whats involved

Theres plenty of variety in this role you could be doing anything from:

  • serving customers
  • cash handling
  • sorting donated goods
  • visual merchandising
  • tidying the store

Qualifications :

Were looking for caring individuals keen to give back to their community.  Retail experience is great but not essential.  If youre keen to learn enthusiastic and reliable then we can teach you the skills you need.  

We are looking for volunteers who are ale to support on Saturday afternoon shifts 12-4pm. 


Additional Information :

The recruitment process will involve:

  • an interview with the store manager
  • a criminal record check 
  • Optional: If your role is to involve driving (e.g. donation pick ups) we will also check that you have a current full NZ Driver License
