The Opportunity
As the Operations Manager you will be the key leader responsible for overseeing all daily production product packaging & loading and logistics activities. You will drive operational excellence by optimizing processes managing resources and ensuring the timely production and shipping of high-quality goods while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all day-to-day production scheduling and logistical operations within the facility.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity reduce waste and minimize manufacturing costs.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies safety regulations (OSHA) and environmental standards.
- Manage mentor and develop a team of supervisors and production staff fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for operational activities.
- Collaborate with Quality Control Maintenance and Supply Chain departments to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering Business Administration or a related field preferred
- 5 years of leadership experience in operations management within a manufacturing or industrial environment (e.g. chemical petrochemical etc.).
- Operational Experience with Automated High Speed Packaging Equipment a definite plus
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols quality systems and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven ability to manage large teams complex schedules and production budgets.
- Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with WMS and ERP systems and modern manufacturing technologies is highly desirable.
